Welcome to the 2008 Horizons blog.

With Airline 2.0 the theme of the conference, we thought it would be appropriate to embrace new ways of communicating offered by web 2.0.

At Horizons, airlines delegates from across the globe share insights on how they have used technology to grow and compete. With this blog we want to capture the spirit of the conference online. It is a platform for anyone in the airline industry to discuss their thoughts, comments and issues that you are facing day in, day out.

In the run up to the conference, this blog will bring you opinions on a range of issues including the future traveller, self-service check-in, ancillary revenues, the impact of web 2.0, the rise of the new generation airline and even Thai etiquette.

During the conference itself, we will be updating the blog with written and video content so you can share the experience of Horizons 2008.

The point of the blog isn’t to provide another marketing platform. It isn’t the vehicle for us to deliver carefully thought through plans for the future. It isn’t the opportunity to provide you with a definitive guide to Amadeus and its solutions.

This blog, in the same way as the conference is nothing without your input.
